Illuminate Mainframe Studios: Lighting Capital Project

We’re thrilled to announce our Lighting Capital Project! This initiative will illuminate Mainframe Studios and the surrounding area, turning our space into a vibrant, welcoming, and safe cultural landmark in the heart of Des Moines.

This project will:

  • Highlight our iconic architecture and colorful mural

  • Enhance safety and accessibility for all

  • Revitalize the gateway to North Downtown Des Moines

  • Spotlight the incredible art within our Atrium and 4 galleries

  • Promote energy sustainability

With over 176,000 annual visitors, this upgrade is essential to our mission and affirms our commitment to visibility, safety, and sustainability. We couldn’t do this without the generous financial support of our private donors and these incredible partners: Bravo Greater Des Moines and Operation Downtown in partnership with the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
