Hand Crafted Furniture
Gregg and his wife Michelle handcraft art furniture and home decor pieces from rough-cut, kiln-dried wood milled from gifted, rescued, family heirloom, or reclaimed sources, including walnut, cherry, maple, hackberry, sycamore, locust, and hickory, among others. Once he designs a piece and determines the wood species and dimensions, he dedicates considerable time to board selection, as well as grain and color matching. Nature creates stunning wood, and as an artist, his role is to stay out of the way, avoid overdoing it, and uncover and accentuate the inherent beauty. He crafted his first serious piece 40 years ago and has been refining his furniture-making craft ever since.
