This special exhibition celebrating the creative possibilities of clay and the many ways artists can shape, transform, and reimagine the medium.

Seeking artists who explore clay through functional and non-functional works. From vessels and objects to sculptural forms, we welcome creative and innovative approaches that highlight the unique qualities of the medium.

Artists are encouraged to explore traditional techniques, contemporary practices, and experimental approaches to clay. Whether functional, decorative, conceptual, or sculptural, we invite artists to push the boundaries of the medium and explore what clay can become.

All submissions are due by Sunday, October 25th at 11:59 PM (CST), and late submissions will not be accepted.

Mainframe Studios is proud to present BIG & SMALL, a special exhibition exploring size and scale. Juried by Chris Vance. 

How do dimensions change the way we experience and connect with art? Big & Small brings together works that command a room and those that draw viewers in for a closer look.

Seeking artists who play with proportion and the relationship between size and subject matter, considering how scale influences a work’s presence, meaning, and impact. 

Preferred sizes for 2D works include: 48"x48" and 8"x8"

All submissions are due by Sunday, January 3rd, 2027 at 11:59 PM (CST), and late submissions will not be accepted.

There is no entry fee to apply.

Mainframe Studios invites artists to submit proposals for solo, duo, and small group exhibitions in our gallery spaces for 2027–2028.

We are interested in exhibitions that bring fresh perspectives to our community, explore a range of artistic practices and ideas, and engage audiences through thoughtful and creative approaches.

We seek proposals that:

• Explore a variety of topics, mediums, materials, and creative processes.

• Spark curiosity, conversation, or connection with audiences.

• Highlight the work of emerging, established, or mid-career artists.

• Offer a cohesive exhibition concept with a clear point of view.

Available exhibition spaces are located in the 2nd and 3rd floor galleries. Exhibition opportunities vary by space and schedule. The Atrium and 4th floor galleries are primarily reserved for Mainframe's primary exhibition themes.
