Pam Hibbs graduated from Iowa State in 1989 with her bachelor of fine arts in art and design, but since then she set down the paint brush. It was not until decades later, after the death of her daughter, Ella, did she start up again. Now she has a studio at Mainframe where she continues working on her intuitive abstract paintings.

Hibbs will be exhibiting her work as an Emerging Artist at the Des Moines Arts Festival, which takes place downtown Des Moines from June 28-30 from 11am-10pm on Friday and Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. Click here to read more about Pam Hibbs’ return to art.
